Lease Disputes
Under the Retail Leases Act 1994 all disputants must try to mediate before going to The Consumer, Trader and Tenancy Tribunal unless the Tribunal is satisfied that mediation will not be successful.
Gaining the right legal advice before entering a retail or commercial lease is the best defence against disputes. However even if you have not sought advice from us before entering a lease, we are still able to work for a positive outcome.
We have broad experience in dispute mediation, tribunal and court proceedings and can assist you with:
-
Misleading or deceptive conduct
-
Claims to the Administrative Decisions Tribunal
-
Extension of Time for making claims to the Administrative Decisions Tribunal
-
Claims relating to retail tenancy and unconscionable conduct
-
Appeals to the Supreme Court
-
Transfer of proceedings from the Administrative Decisions Tribunal to the Supreme Court.
